Official Launch Roadshow
The British Business Awards are a unique showcase for outstanding UK companies based in China. Held biennially, the Awards recognise & promote excellence in innovation, enterprise & endeavour in both the British & Chinese business communities, across a variety of industry sectors.
To launch the Awards, the British Business Awards team recently conducted a roadshow covering local business communities located in Chengdu, Guangzhou & Beijing.
On 2 June, in Chengdu at the Annual General Meeting and Her Majesty the Queen’s 90th birthday celebration hosted by The British Chamber of Commerce in Southwest China & the China-British Business Council. After a rousing speech from Lord Clement-Jones, the launch of The British Business Awards 2016 in Chengdu was presented by Phil Roebuck, Executive Director of the British Chamber of Commerce Shanghai, during which, the local business community enjoyed a short film of the previous Awards ceremony, reliving previous celebrations.
In 29 June, during the Members’ Appreciation Dinner, The British Business Awards 2016 was launched at the Consul-General’s Residence in Guangzhou, the event coincided with the 20th birthday anniversary celebration of the British Chamber of Commerce Guangdong.
Phil Roebuck, Executive Director of the British Chamber of Commerce Shanghai, introduced the awards to the local business community at the event.
Beijing – AGM & Summer Garden Party
Finally, The British Business Awards 2016 was launched in Beijing on 6 July,during the Annual General Meeting & subsequent Summer Garden Party with VIP guests including Lord Price, the Minister of State for Trade and Investment, and Barbara Woodward, Her Majesty’s Ambassador to the People’s Republic of China. Again, Phil Roebuck the Executive Director of the British Chamber of Commerce talked about the awards at the event.
