Welcome to the 2022 British Business Awards

This year, as we celebrate 50 years of diplomatic relations at Ambassadorial level between the UK and China, it is more important than ever to recognise the two countries’ strong links in business, trade and investment. The British Business Awards celebrate the incredible work British and Chinese companies are doing, playing a key role in highlighting the expertise and benefits that British companies can bring to the China market and vice versa. Through our strong economic and business ties, the two countries can overcome challenges to ensure co-operation between the UK and China continues to grow, from trade and investment to people-to-people relations. We look forward to celebrating another 50 years of UK-China business excellence!

The British Chamber of Commerce is proud to launch the 2022 British businesses awards in China. It is inspiring to see and celebrate the achievements of many successful British Companies operating in China and Chinese companies in the UK. We all make important contribution to the growing trade and investment between the UK and China. The business relationships that are forged here extend beyond the balance sheet and enhance understanding between both countries. UK businesses’ commitment to China has remained strong in the 50 years since ambassadorial relations were officially established in 1972, and we hope these British Business Awards will help demonstrate the continued strength of our bilateral trading relationship.

The British Chamber of Commerce Guangdong is absolutely delighted to be celebrating the British Business Awards 2022. The BBA recognizes the enormous contribution made by many British and Chinese businesses and individuals towards building business, cultural and social links between the UK and China. It is another tangible example of the growing trade and investment landscape between our two countries. The past two years has been particularly difficult for international exchange which makes the BBA particularly relevant this year. We very much look forward to another successful BBAs.

2022 is another year we celebrate the fantastic work being done by British businesses across China and the ever-growing trade between China and the UK. We look forward to recognising and rewarding the best and brightest covering industries and the great British brands and expertise that do so much to add to China. On the 50th anniversary of China-Britain diplomatic ties at the ambassadorial level, I encourage all companies to seize the opportunity this presents to share and showcase their success stories.

We couldn’t be prouder, or more excited, to once again celebrate British businesses in China that champion creativity, innovation, and leadership. Recognizing and celebrating these achievements has never been more important as we reach a benchmark year for bilateral relations between the UK and China, which will lay the foundations for exciting things to come.
