General Requirements
The British Business Awards are open to organisations whose activities make a significant contribution to the commercial relationship between the United Kingdom and China. Unless otherwise specified, awards are open to organisations operating in China that identify as British through their ownership, heritage, operations or brand. *
*The judging panel in a given category would have final say should an award entrant’s status as a British company be in dispute.
Companies that do not meet the above criteria may be eligible to apply for one of the following awards:
Outstanding Contribution to the UK Award
Open to Chinese organisations that have established a significant presence in, or made a demonstrable contribution to, the United Kingdom through investment, operations, innovation or job creation.
Education Partnership Award
Open to higher and further education institutions listed on the UK Visas and Immigration (UKVI) Register of Licensed Sponsors, as well as collaborative education partnerships involving an eligible UK institution. Entries must be endorsed by the Vice-Chancellor, President or Principal (or equivalent senior executive) of the UK institution.
Business Partnership Award
Open to partnerships, joint ventures, strategic alliances or collaborative initiatives involving at least one British organisation. Partnerships may be ongoing or completed, provided they demonstrate measurable impact and meet the eligibility period.

Entries must be submitted online through the Awards Force platform. Once entries open, click Enter the Awards on the British Business Awards website, select your chosen category or categories, and follow the online application process.
The deadline for submissions is 11 September 2026.
No. Entry to the British Business Awards is free of charge.
Yes. Eligible organisations may submit entries in up to three award categories.
No. Each organisation may submit one entry per award category.
Yes. Previous entrants, finalists and winners are welcome to enter again, provided they meet the eligibility requirements for the relevant category.
No. To protect the integrity of the Awards, organisations may not enter an award category that they sponsor.
All eligible entries are assessed through an independent two-stage judging process.
Following the submission deadline, entries are reviewed by an independent panel of judges for each award category, who select the finalists.
Finalists are then invited to participate in an online interview with the judging panel. Final scores are based on the written submission (50%) and interview (50%).
The winners are announced at the British Business Awards Gala Dinner.
Each award category is judged by an independent panel of senior business leaders and subject matter experts drawn from British and Chinese organisations.
You will receive an automated confirmation email once your submission has been successfully completed.
Finalists will be contacted directly and announced on the British Business Awards website.
Winners will be announced at the British Business Awards Gala Dinner. No results will be released publicly before the awards ceremony.
